Ulaa Hotel Patagonia is located in the center of the Biosfera Transfronteriza Andino Norpatagónica Reserve, a natural area of over 11 million acres of Argentina and Chile, protected by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

This ecosystem, unique in Patagonia, has a stunning ecological diversity. With over 100 registered bird species, is common to find little peutrenes andamazing patagonic woodpecker in the woods. Other interesting birds are eagles, owls, black headed vultures and vultures. Among mammals, huemul and pudú (endangered local deers), cougar and red fox are the most captivating.

The flora is rich and assorted in the forests that surround Ulaa Hotel Patagonia. Under huge coihues and cypresses, ulmos of stunning white flowers grow. Guevín orwild hazeltree, white volqui vine and huautro provide a unique shape to the landscape. Many of these plants are used by Mapuches, local natives, for healing and medical purposes.

Our Maya Spa specializes in ancient Mayan mystical experience and Mapuche wisdom: clay massage, Mayan bath, crystal therapy, hot stone massage, Mapuche bath and cosmic weddings, among others. Ulaa Hotel Patagonia also has a Mayan Temazcal: an igloo structured building where our guests enjoy a four-hour steam bath and live physically and spiritually refreshing experiences.

At night, we invite you to listen beautiful melodies from talented local musicians, while enjoying delicious wines, take a pleasant walk under the stars, or wander by the lake coast under the moonlight.

Variety, freshness and quality are the pillars of gastronomy at Ulaa Hotel Patagonia. Our meals are defined as ?Home made gourmet cuisine?, with a creative presentation and emphasizing equilibrium. A fine selection of Argentinean and Chilean wines are available as the perfect complement to our exquisite dishes.

We organically grow all food products in our farm and greenhouse.

The stay at Ulaa Hotel Patagonia includes all meals, which are served in the Main Lodge. Each day, we offer a special menu with seafood, fish, meat and vegetarian options. We also have optional menus with an additional cost.

Ulaa Hotel Patagonia invites you to taste the finest Argentinean and Chilean wines. Such a long trip need to be celebrated with a true Argentine Malbec, a variety that has conquered the most demanding palates and won innumerable mentions and awards worldwide. From the other side of the Andes, Chile presents as its emblematic variety the Carmenere, a wine of French origin that settled wonderfully at the Chilean southern region and represents the country around the world.

The wide range of tastes incluye young and fruity or ageing wines with a complex bouquet, from renowned wineries or of limited boutique production, exceptional and distinctive signature wines, monovarietal or of superbly balanced blends. In Ulaa Hotel Patagonia, each individual taste can be satisfied to round off a perfect experience.

Please notify our reservations staff of any special dietary requirements a minimum of 15 days before arrival so they can be taken into consideration. Any special requests upon arrival may not be accommodated due to the remote nature of Ulaa. Special diets may incur an extra charge.

Hotel Patagonia, Ulaa Spa & Resort: Organic products

In Ulaa Hotel Patagonia we believe that wholesome meals are essential for a healthy body, mind and spirit. That?s why we provide meals organically produced in our farm and greenhouse. The main benefit of organic products is that they are completely free of chemical wastes, additives, conservants (excepting naturals), pesticides, fertilizers or hormones.

In our organic farm we harvest apples and pears and in our greenhouse we cultivate a variety of fine herbs, fruits and berries. Many of these forest fruits, as rosa mosqueta and berries grow naturally in the surroundings. Guests are invited to participate in harvest, sowing and irrigation, and learn about regional production processes.

Animal products are obtained under the same organic criteria and without any kind of hormones. Dairy products as cheese and milk served to our guests are produced under the same guidelines.
